Ruff Land Kennels
This heavy-duty Ruff Land Dog Crate Fan gives you two fan speeds at the flip of a switch for maximum cooling for your dog, or for minimal power draw to conserve your battery. The LOW setting will minimize your power draw — LESS than 2 AMPS! You can leave your fan on even when your vehicle is shut off. We routinely leave our fans on throughout the entire day without any concern for our vehicle battery, while having the confidence that our dogs will remain safe and cool.
Field-tested to withstand weather and vehicle vibration. Connect to your vehicle’s 12-volt cigarette lighter plug, or to your trailer hitch power connector with an adapter cable.
Comes standard with an 8′ single cigarette lighter cord. Additional cords are available for purchase separately.
Hanging Bracket (7″) hangs onto top of kennel door – Fits all but S or XL Ruff Land™ Kennels
Low setting draws 450 CFM*
High setting draws 550 CFM*
*CFM is a standard measurement of airflow that indicates how many cubic feet of air passes by a stationary point in one minute. The higher the number, the more air is being forced through the system. For example, a large Ruff Land crate is approximately 12 cubic feet, so this fan on high is capable of completely replacing that volume of air 45 times in 1 minute.

are there any fans that fit the XL kennels? We live in AZ and are planning to purchase the XL for our German Shepherd.
Something wrong with this post? Thanks for letting us know. If you can point us in the right direction...

Just purchased the fan with hanging bracket but have a kennel with a metal door liner installed. What is the best way to install? Should I bend bracket to make it a little wider to fit? Or insert between liner and door?
– January 2, 2020
We have had people bend that top hanging bracket to make it larger to fit on the larger doors. If you feel more comfortable with putting it between the liner and door you can try that as well, I haven’t heard of anyone doing that but if it works you can sure let us know for future customers that run into the same issue!

What is the depth of the fan from front to back? I have limited space between the crate door and the rear hatch of my SUV.

It will at an additional 3 inches to the length of the kennel

What amp does it draw at full speed?
– July 24, 2019
It draws 2 amps on high and 1.6 on low

Great quality would defiantly buy again. Intermediate kennel fits perfect behind seat of my 4 door Z71.
