Does the metal door liner cover the squeeze part of the latching system (where you pinch your finger to open and close the latch) from the inside?

The cover goes on the inside of the door, covering most of the door

how tough is the kennel door if dog tries to scratch or push or pull with their paws? Would the constant scratching or his nails destroy the door? how resistant is it for high anxiety dog?

Hi Ruffland- what high anxiety door accessories do you recommend. I have an escape artist! Which other door is recommended?

Hey Jess, I would recommend getting a metal door liner and a side latch rod kit. The door liner will limit their ability to paw and chew at the holes on their composite door, and the side latch rod kit adds two additional latch points to ensure the door remains closed, and you can even lock it shut. There are video instructions for how to attach both to your door on their respective accessories pages. Hope this helps!

The constant scratching could wear the door down. We have some accessories to help with high anxiety dogs. For scratching or biting at the door we have door liners and covers that go on the inside of the door. For pushing/pulling at the door to try to escape we have Side Latch Rod Kits. They are all under the accessories tab

What is the coating on the metal? Asking because my guy seems to be able to get his teeth on anything no matter how small the opening. We are working on his crate training but he was still able to put some good sized divets in the door after just 30 minutes. Want to make sure it’s not something that will be too dangerous if scraped off and ingested.

Kate, the coating is bed liner
